007: My beauty hit list right now...
I love makeup and I am obsessed with makeup. So here are the products that I have not been able to put down, and ones that have lived with me for many years.
SUQQU liquid foundation I bought this foundation lat year in Paris and awww it’s so good. It has medium coverage but enough to cover my pigmentation, super lightweight texture but has a lot of pigment. Only downside, it’s not the most travel friendly packaging, though the formula out weighs that. It really is one of those “second skin” foundations that we all are on the eternal search for.
Yves Saint Laurent lash clash mascara I have tried this mascara on three separate occasions before I deemed it worthy enough to drop in my group chats. It is nice and easy to apply, and even though I usually manage to get mascara all over my lids as I am putting it on, I didn’t really have too much of a problem with this one. One coat is enough for me but two coats gives you a much more dramatic look. I have both the black & brown.
Fara Homidi lip pencil & lip compact honestly it’s the perfect lip combo. Gorgeous pigmented colours and I love the balm on its own or under the lipstick. I use Nude 2 in the compact and shade minky for the pencil. I just love when talented make up artists create make up lines.
U Beauty plasma lip balm I really love this lip balm but the taste isn’t that great! The metal tip applicator is cold and feels super nice when you apply it which makes me reapply it a lot. I am still on the hunt for the best lip oil/balm/gloss… maybe i’ll have to make one. The rhode original one is very good too!
Merit blush balm i've been very much in love with this since the day it launched in 2021. The creamy, flexible formula is what does it for me. I can wear it on its own or with other makeup, using as much or as little as I want, and it looks natural. Packaging is good for traveling too.
Byredo's Kajal pencil new to this pencil but I love it. The texture is easy glide (no irritation). I only have black but I would like to purchase this in other colours and the amazing part, it comes with its own sharpener! I like that!!
Anastasia’s clear brow gel been using this for over 2 years!!! I am so loyal to this product because it truely sets my brows for the day and makes me feel at peace knowing my brows aren’t gonna move around!
Les Beiges bronzer this might be an unpopular opinion, but I think bronzer is the backbone of any good makeup look. It adds colour and dimension, it can sculpt and frame your face, and you can even use it on your eyelids. I personally add moisturiser to the pot, when I want an all over glow/tan to match my body!
Sania's brow pencil I go and see Sania for my brows at her New York salon and she even does house visits too… this pencil is by far the best pencil i’ve ever used, it goes on dry not oily which is which is so important and makes it hold all day.
Trinny London eye2eye cream based eye shadows, maybe another controversial opinion but I personally don’t like wearing powder eye shadow because it makes me look/feel older. I found these recently and they are super easy to apply and go on with a swipe of a finger… they blend out incredibly well and last all day!
Westman Atelier highlighting stick love love love this. It’s glowy, not glittery, looks like hydration rather than oil… ugh. Love it. I use the shade Lit.
ISAMAYA beauty eyeshadow palette or Makeup by Mario palette these are the only two bigger size palettes I own and they do very different things from one another! The Isamaya one isn't for the faint hearted. If you're looking for everyday mattes, steer clear that is more the Mario one. The Isamaya one is all about glitter, shine, and theatrics, which I love from time to time.
Rae Morris makeup brush travel set I am in love with this little travel set. I love the short handles and the very clever, compact design and case. All have vegan bristles which perform as well as all my natural bristle brushes. Now I want to buy all Rae’s range!
Bienaimé matifying papers or Mehron anti-shine both are fantastic! I was recently on set and the makeup artist used the Mehron Anti-shine and it instantly removed all the oil/shine from my face, and it honestly doesn't really matter the tint or shade you get because it's very translucent.
Hermes matte lipsticks I love this packaging sooo much maybe that’s why I purchased it in the first place. I just sit there popping the lid on & off… love a magnetic closure. I go for the matte lipsticks from Hermes, I feel they have the most payoff!
Narz radiant creamy concealer Still, no formula has been able to waver my faithfulness from this one. I first started using Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in 2013—the year it launched, fast-forward 11 years and I'm still hooked.
Victoria Beckham eyeshadow sticks I love the creaminess and shades of these shadow sticks. Super easy to use. I layer them or just use them as a base. My favourite is shade Trench.
